Grading Registration Process - Please read carefully
Students wishing to grade this June should arrange that the relevant registration forms (see below) are completed and signed by their Sensei in good time. Applications should be posted to the EGKA Secretary, 47 Bargates, Christchurch, Dorset, BH23 1QD to arrive no later than 9th June 2010. A form will be rejected if the Katakana section is not completed, a photograph is not supplied where required, and the form is not signed by the applicant´s instructor. No exceptions will be made.
We will accept emailed copies of application forms on or before the 9th June 2010, provided the original and properly completed forms are handed to the Secretary no later than the close of the Saturday training session. As grading candidate lists have to be drawn up over Saturday night, if the Secretary does not hold the original and properly completed application form on Saturday afternoon, the candiate will not grade on Sunday. No exceptions will be made.
Please note that the grading committee has decided that there is only one way to avoid the administrative problems of last December´s grading, which were caused by late submissions. This year, if a student´s name does not appear on the Grading List below at midnight of 9th June 2010, they will not grade. We started accepting applications from as early as 5th February 2010. So the grading committee will not accept any excuse for a late application.
Individual students must accept responsibility for ensuring their name appears under the correct heading on the Grading List below. If you have submitted an application and it does not appear on the list below after a few days, please email the Secretary or call Ralph Elliott-King on 01202 474545 so we can address the matter.
Training/Grading Course Details and Costs
You can get a better understanding of the actual grading process, and what the Grading Panel will be looking for by reading Your Grading - What to expect on the day.
All students wishing to train or grade must ensure their EGKA membership is up to date and in force over the grading weekend. If you intend to grade, you must show a current membership slip on the day before you will be allowed to grade. To renew expired memberships, please click here.
