EGKA Summer Gusshuku weekend on the 11th and 12th June 2022

Sensei Ernie and other senior EGKA instructors look forward to greeting you at the EGKA Summer Gasshuku training and IOGKF grading weekend that begins at 11:30 on Saturday, 11th June 2022.

Saturday Training Session:

11:30 to 15:30 - All adult/cadet grades.

Saturday Grading Registration

11:30 to 11:45 - Course registration.
15:15 to 15:30 - Grading registration for Junior, cadets and adult grading candidates.

Sunday Training Times:

09:00 to 12:00 - All junior, cadet and adult grades.

All students intending to grade on Sunday must attend the Saturday and Sunday training sessions.

Grading: Sunday Afternoon in the Gym

12:15 - 12:30 Written examination (Adult Shodan to Sadan grades).
12:45 - 15:00 Junior, Cadet and Adult Grading.

Training Fees:

Family concession: Only first two highest fee-paying members of the immediate family pay - the others train for free.

Grading Registration Process - Please read carefully.

Please ensure that you have pre-registered and registered via your instructor to Sensei Ernie by the 5th June 2022 with the following detail:
Name.
Junior or Adult.
Current Grade.
Date Grade obtained.
Test Grade.
Retest Y/N.
All Dan grading candidates must have submitted a brief karate CV.
All candidates MUST have attended at least two EGKA courses in the 12 months prior to their grading (this Summer Gasshuku does not count if you are grading). Tournaments do count for Juniors and Cadets (under 18 years).

Grading Forms

Grading registration for all candidates will be 12:00-12:15 on Sunday.  You will need your completed form, licence book and fee.

Please retain your grading form and bring it with you to hand to Petra Roe on Sunday afternoon while registering.

Grading Fees

Candidates will be able to register at the Grading Registration Desk and pay for their gradings during the course registration. PLEASE NOTE: For administrative reasons we cannot accept cheques for amounts that combine training and grading fees.

Please bring the correct cash or cheque made payable to the "EGKA" to be handed over with your registration form and licence book.

Grading fees will not be refunded if a student does not pass. That student will be given a 50% reduction in the grading fee when they retest at either of the next two grading sessions.

EGKA Membership

Every person applying to grade must ensure their EGKA membership is up to date and in force over the grading weekend.
