Special Instructions for this event:
This seminar will include groundwork (Ne Waza). As such we will be training at venues that have mats so we have decided to keep participant numbers to 50 people on each day. Adults only: No children will be accepted for this course. Cadets (13 and older) of brown belt and above will be welcome if attending with a guardian. Please email Sensei Nigel Thomas (at email@example.com) prior to attending to notify us of intention to attend or with any questions about this course.
There are no cafe facilities on site. It is advisable that you bring your own food and drink refreshments. There are a few shops close to the venue including a Co-op store.
HCC is a historic building, completed in the mid-19th Century. Its purpose and role has changed over the years from a poor school and workhouse to, at one time, the home of entertainer Charlie Chaplin. During the 1960s, rock band, The Who played there. It is now run by Ealing Council and is home to several small businesses and martial arts clubs, including, Judo and Kung-Fu as well as a boxing club. There is a free car park available for 50 vehicles at the front of the building, as well as unrestricted street parking around the entrance area.
HCC is easily accessed from the A40 Western Avenue it can also be reached via rail on Saturday. The nearest railway station is Castle Bar Park which connects to London Paddington (No Sunday service). The E1 and E11 buses run to and from Ealing Broadway tube station (Central Line).
