The West London Weekend Gasshuku
Saturday, 14th and Sunday 15th May 2016

Sensei Nigel Thomas is pleased to invite all EGKA members to a weekend of training to be led by Sensei Ernie Molyneux assisted by Sensei Nigel.

Saturday Venue:

The school is in a residential area. Although there are no parking restrictions, please allow extra time to park as spaces can be difficult to find.

Training on Sunday is at a different venue:

Saturday 14th May:

Adults/Cadets: 12:30 - 16:30
Juniors: 12:30 - 14:30
Registration from 12:00 and there is access to both halls.

Sunday 15th May:

Adult/Cadets: 10:00 - 14:00
There is access to the boxing club and judo dojo facilities.

Cost:

Sat Junior class: £10
Sat Cadet class: £15
Sat Adult class: £20

Sun Adult/Cadet class: £20

Both days Cadet: £25
Both days Adult: £35

Fees are payable on the day. Family concessions apply (First two highest pay, third goes free).

Refreshments:

There are no cafe facilities on site. It is advisable that you bring your own food and drink refreshments. There are a few shops close to the venue including a Co-op store.

Venue:

HCC is a historic building, completed in the mid-19th Century. Its purpose and role has changed over the years from a poor school and workhouse to, at one time, the home of entertainer Charlie Chaplin. During the 1960s, rock band, The Who played there. It is now run by Ealing Council and is home to several small businesses and martial arts clubs, including, Judo and Kung-Fu as well as a boxing club. There is a free car park available for 50 vehicles at the front of the building, as well as unrestricted street parking around the entrance area.

Directions

HCC is easily accessed from the A40 Western Avenue it can also be reached via rail on Saturday. The nearest railway station is Castle Bar Park which connects to London Paddington (No Sunday service). The E1 and E11 buses run to and from Ealing Broadway tube station (Central Line).
